Creating A Safe and Beautiful Bathroom Environment:

90% of those 55+ prefer to age independently – living in their own home or designing a new one for their next chapter. This interactive seminar features an expert in designing for aging, Michelle Wallach, OTR/L, CAPS to share her knowledge. She’ll be joined by people 65+ who have renovated bathrooms to accommodate wheelchairs or are simply planning ahead to talk about and show their “bathrooms of the future.” All areas of the home will be covered but focus is on the bathroom where many falls and accidents can happen.

Michelle Wallach is a trained Occupational Therapist who worked for NYU’s Rusk Institute and now partners with hundreds of families to create their bathroom of the future. Michelle was one of the first certified CAPS (certificate for aging in place) designers in 2005. She has solutions for those in wheelchairs, with balance issues, stroke and other realities of aging.
